Krishna Tribhangi - Krishna is a Hindu deity. He is one of the incarnations of the Vedic Supreme God Vishnu or Narayana. He is the son of Devaki (Mother) and Vasudeva (Father). Lord Vishnu is the protector of this world and hence his incarnation as Krishna was meant to eradicate the evil forces, restore the 'Dharma', and liberate the people from their sufferings. In Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna has been described as a role model in his various stages of life right from his birth. As an infant, he was very naughty yet loving and fond of eating fresh butter. As a young boy, he played flute and was very popular among boys and girls of his age. He used to play pranks with his friends. As a youthful prince, he was a model lover, an enchanter of women. Lord Krishna has many names that highlight his attributes. Common ones are - Gopala - Protector of Cows, Murlidhar - The one who keeps a flute, Krishna - The one who is 'dark' refers to the color of his skin. Across India and the world, people worship Krishna in his various age groups, as a naughty kid calling him as Bal-Gopal. As a young flute-playing prince surrounded by cows and women who used to get attracted to his mannerism, charms, and flute, as Lord Vishnu himself and more. Krishna can be very easily identified by his way of presentations. A dark-skinned, most often dark blue, prince wearing yellow clothing, a crown with a peacock feather in it, with a flute in his hands near his lips. In this statue he is seen in his signature pose, relaxing and playing the flute. In this form, he usually stands with one leg bent in front of the other and raises a flute to his lips, known as Tribhangi Mudra. Tribhangi means having three curves, hence the name of this brass sculpture is Krishna Tribhangi.
